Still Life

Though I’ve always dabbled in still life, my true exploration into the art began in fall 2020, inspired by the beauty of flowers from my garden. Initially, I photographed them almost unintentionally, capturing simple snapshots rather than deliberate compositions. My focus shifted early in 2020 when I decided to master still life photography, aiming to recreate the antique scientific drawings that lined the walls of our favorite restaurant. However, the pandemic delayed my plans, limiting access to materials and giving me time to refine my ideas.

When I finally began creating that fall, I was hooked and haven’t looked back. Over the years, I’ve supplemented my collection with blooms from South Shore flower farmers, whose generosity and community spirit have been integral to my work. Many of my pieces wouldn’t exist without their support, and I’m proud to highlight their contributions. Below are a few of my favorites, with more available in my print shop and instagram.
